Wednesday, November 19, at the next Why Catholic? event, Father Peter Stravinskas (as seen on EWTN) will be flying from New Jersey to Charleston to speak to us about the Mass, its meaning, and its biblical and historical origins.
Fr. Peter Stravinskas was ordained a priest on May 27, 1977. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in School Administration and Licentiate of Sacred Theology. He has also earned a doctorate in Sacred Theology. He has taught in and administered Catholic educational institutions at the elementary, secondary and university levels. Father Stravinskas has founded The Catholic Answer and The Catholic Response. He is the founder and superior of the Priestly Society of the Venerable John Henry Cardinal Newman and the executive director of the Catholic Education Foundation. He is also the author of thirty-four books and over 500 articles. He has conducted retreats and lectured world-wide.
