As many of you know there is a genocide taking place in front of us. Abortion is not just the killing of a human being, it is also the denial of the civil rights that the forefathers of this country so valiantly fought for and that sometimes we take for granted. So far, since abortion has been legal in the United States, there have been at least 50 million people terminated not because they were dangers to their mothers or had terrible diseases, but because it is legal to do so. This is a time that requires Catholics to step up and lead in this civil rights movement to give rights back to those who can not speak for themselves. We only need to show our support.
40 days for life is an event geared to show support for all the victims of abortion with prayer and witness to those who want to be helped. There is no more glory in charging armed into a battlefield than in standing up against the evil of abortion with just a rosary. The Cathedral Young Adults will be praying at the abortion clinic every Saturday, starting on February 28th, throughout Lent from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. You do not have to be there for the whole shift, but I encourage you to come for just one hour of the Lenten season. May God Almighty bless you and comfort the hearts of those afflicted. In Him, Carlos
St. George and St. Joan of Arc; pray for us!
