This Wednesday: Why Catholic? A History of Marian Devotion, Dogmas, & Apparitions

This Wednesday will be the grand finale of our second season of Why Catholic?. We've had a great year of speakers and topics, and who better to conclude the year with than our own beloved Sister Jane! Joining Sister Jane will be Father Marshal Upasi. Father Upasi is a priest visiting from the extremely persecuted church in India. It is a great honor to have him join us. May is the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and fittingly our topic this month deals with the history of Marian devotion, the four Marian dogmas (Mother of God; Perpetual Virginity; Immaculate Conception; Assumption) and approved Marian apparitions (Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe...). Catholic beliefs about Mary are probably the most misunderstood and attacked beliefs by out Protestant brethren. Catholics don't worship Mary and don't believe she's divine, but she is a treasure and she is our Mother. Come join us Wednesday for this great Marian event. It's sure to be a wonderful night. Pray for us oh holy Mother of God!
